Please be aware:
Birmingham’s schools are places of learning to which there is no automatic entitlement of public access. Any person who enters onto any school premises without permission, or a right to be there, is trespassing.
School premises are private property, and as such, the public has no automatic right of entry. This does not affect the parents or designated carers of enrolled pupils, who have an ‘implied licence’ to go on to the relevant school premises at certain stated times, and such access is defined and set out by each school.
The right to be on the school premises, such as being a parent or carer of a child in school/ given the authroity to collect children from school, can and will be revoked if staff, or other members of the school community, are abused verbally or physically - in these cases, the authorities will be contacted - this can result in a ban from site and potentially legal routes taken.
If you are in any way unsure about the right of access, please contact the school in question in the first instance for advice to avoid any issues.
